ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an independent, conscientious and service-oriented Control Systems Engineer to implement systems, conduct preventative maintenance, and run routine maintenance to ensure customers’ systems are fully operational at all times.
You will spend much of your time on customer site, so your communication skills, focus on quality, and ability to solve problems will be your success. Working with a team of experienced System Engineers this is an amazing opportunity to learn from the ground up, leverage their knowledge and learn new skills.
ABOUT YOU
You are good at liaising with people and you ensure you understand exactly what needs to be done, even in ambiguous situations! Technically astute to solve unique, complex problems, you have a background in electrical engineering (and ideally some experience under your belt), and you’re a natural problem solver who likes to think outside of the box to get the job done.
Curious by nature, you have lots of common sense and you like ask questions to understand the full picture, and you’re an ace at troubleshooting. Passionate about doing the best by the customer, you realise the importance of maintaining a great reputation by building trust, delivering on promise, and achieving scheduled deadlines.
WHAT ELSE
A general mechanical and electrical aptitude is essential, and you’re good with computers; some experience with SCADA would be a bonus, but we’ll train you. Ownership of a vehicle and an NSW drivers’ license is needed as you’ll be on the road visiting customers. We will provide a fuel card and a competitive car allowance.
Work hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday, however this job calls for some on-call work if customers experience disruptions and for this, you will be rewarded with an on-call allowance.

Scholastically, you have tertiary qualifications and an interest in mechatronics and control systems. You perform at your best in a professional work environment where the work requires accuracy, and you can use your imagination to create solutions combined with your high-level technical expertise. Achieving goals is an integral part of your nature. And you are thorough, leaving nothing to chance. You are eager to learn and passionate about solving complex problems, you enjoy dealing with a wide range of clients and are ready for the opportunity to work on a variety of projects interstate and local. WHAT YOU BRING
Experience in one or more of the following: • A degree in Electrical/Electrical Engineering – Mechatronics – TAFE Cert IV – and experience in programming or software development • Improving site processes through making recommendations on control systems implementation • Control system change management, tracking changes, document management etc. • Implementing changes, upgrades or modifications to existing systems • Be familiar with Allen Bradley PLC's, Schneider PLC's, Citect SCADA, Honeywell SCADA
